The issue is not just whether the system was technically safe. The issue becomes whether anybody fully understood what the system was actually allowing.
That is a much more uncomfortable problem. Traditional detection and prevention models are built to look for bugs, exploits, stolen access, or obvious malicious entry points. But when something leaves through the front door, you are dealing with a design trust issue, not just a security failure. That means the response has to be broader than patching code. It has to include interpretation, system design, expectations, and how infrastructure gets explained to the people using it.
I do think Solana's response matters. Rolling out STRIDE and the Incident Response Network quickly shows the foundation understands the seriousness of the moment. Institutional partners heading into Miami are not just going to care whether something was fixed. They are going to care how fast the response was, how credible it was, and what that says about the maturity of the ecosystem. So yes, I think STRIDE is a credible answer, but it is also the beginning of a harder conversation, not the end of one.
Then you add the post-quantum testing and the 90% slowdown issue, and the bigger tension becomes obvious. Solana's advantage has always been speed. If stronger security comes with huge performance tradeoffs, then that tension has to be resolved carefully. But I do not see that as a reason to lose faith. I see it as part of what innovation looks like in real time. Pressure reveals what needs to improve.
I still believe in Solana. We build on Solana. And I think the chain, the foundation, and the ecosystem will keep using these moments to get stronger. That is the job. Take the negative, understand it clearly, and build the better path forward fast.
